I am having trouble with paint colors, please help!?

I really like dark brown for my living room, but a lot of our wall hangings are ansel adams so they are black and white. Will black and white prints look funny hanging on a deep brown wall? Any Other color suggestions that will look good with b%26amp;w?I am having trouble with paint colors, please help!?
First impressions suggest that your current color scheme is okay. However - and I may have told you this before - search the web and look at a color wheel. That will show you the matching pleasing colors that go with one another.

People have studied that for years, what color goes with what. Try the color wheel because that will please most people and guests.I am having trouble with paint colors, please help!?
It really depends.

What color is your furniture? Are the photos in thin frames with white mattes?

For chocolate brown walls to work, there have to be a lot of light colored items in the room. A white or light beige couch and large white mattes lighten the space.

BTW- If your furniture isn't light, I would repost a new more detailed question. People don't tend to check back on questions they've already answered.
I don't think so. But you might consider another color for the frames. Like white. But if that will take away from the pictures, don't change them. But do another color for curtains, pillows and a blanket throw. Roxanne
light blue or green?... oh and it wouldnt look weird
