Is it okay if i paint food coloring colors onto a fondant?

painting is fine...you can experiment..

I decorate cakes quite alot and paint straight on to the icing quite often. It depends on the effect you are after.

I usualy get a white side plate and use it as my pallet.

Dip your brush into the food colouring and put in onto the plate...then, if you want it slightly lighter dip the brush in water and mix it in...its just common sense really. :-)

It works better with a good paint brush too though.

I wouldnt reccomend painting over large areas, as it is difficult to get an even colour all over, and it also becomes sticky and can be a bit ' In your face' if you use too much of it, it will also change the colour of your mouth.

Have fun

you usually don't paint them onto it but you mix it into it. The amount of coloring would be very strong if you paint it onto. Also, if you are not using organic coloring would you really want to consume that much artificial coloring? It is not meant to be consumed in such large amounts and disorders such as ADHD, thyroid disease, hyperactivity is linked to food colors wherefore candy producers in Europe are seizing to use them.Is it okay if i paint food coloring colors onto a fondant?
Hi, I know that Wilton has a paint that you can be use in painting fondant or frosting, it comes in an spray bottle, you also can use a air brushing machine, that what I use for painting the cakes, it's easier and faster. Good luck.
You CAN paint on the food coloring depending on whether you want dark colors or pastel. The darker colors are harder and those are much easier to just mix into the fondant. If you just want a wash, painting them on is fine.
