What are some good colors to paint a kitchen?

I've been wanting to paint my kitchen a color that will make it feel warm, but I can pinpoint the exact color that I want. I was thinking of maybe a yellow tinted color. I need two colors because there is a divider thing on the wall. What are some good colors to paint a kitchen?

do a faux finish w/ yellow/golds/browns/cherry

play w/ some of those on new paper %26amp; c which mixing together would work ... I think it would look sharp w/ u'r cherry cabinets. U can do one wall solid if u don't want it all fauxed.. do like wash... that's always a neat concept
The first step would be to look around your kitchen for inspiration. Is there a piece of dishware or artwork that really strikes your fancy as far as colors or textures go? If so, use that as your inspiration and have paint color-matched to the colors in your dishware or artwork.

Go to Wal-Mart or your local hardware store. Go to the paint aisle. Pick-up sample color cards in every color that appeals to you, and take them home. Look at them compared to your walls and cabinets and flooring. Choose the ones that you think go best with your kitchen. Tape those sample cards to the wall near your cabinets, and look at them for a while to decide if you really like these colors. You can skip this step if you're really sure that those are the colors you want in your space.

If you're pretty sure that you like those colors, go back to the paint aisle and have a quart of each color mixed. Paint a 3-foot by 3-foot sqaure of each color on your walls, trim the square with any trim colors you've chosen. Let the paint dry, take a look, and decide if you still like these colors. Again, you can skip this step if you're really sure that those are the colors you want in your space.

Go back to the paint aisle and have enough paint made up to finish your kitchen. You may have to ';prime'; over the area where you painted the 3-foot by 3-foot sample square to cover the trim colors, if those colors are very dark in comparison to the main color you've chosen.

You can also talk with the expert in the paint aisle about specialized paints and techniques to make the painted walls ';fancier'; ... like rag-rolling, suade-look, leather-look, textures, and the such.

I guess the bottom-line is, it's your kitchen and you have to live with it. Pick colors that you like. Use a technique that you like. And have fun making the space your own with your own unique sense of style. Good luck!
i have heard red is supposed to stimulate appetite, and it's usually a really warm color, especially with something like cream
pale burgundy and cream
I would suggest a lemon yellow and green apple combo.

Or chocolate brown %26amp; gold.
