How to mix different paint colors?

i have different left over paints at home and would like to mix them to make different colors i would like a chart on colors and how to make certain colors. How to mix different paint colors?
Not a good idea. You also have to take into consideration different finishes of paint there are. ie: semi-gloss, flat, eggshell, satin....Are all the paints latex or oil base? You can't mix oil base with latex paint.

When I mix paint at work, the tints coming out of the tinter are a pure color, yellow, magenta, blue, green...If you were to mix colors at home, the only way you could do it would be to take a pure white and add one other color to it. This wouldn't really change the color, just lighten it up. If you were to add a green and a yellow, it would turn out blue, but you wouldn't be guaranteed what shade it would turn out.

Your best bet is to get rid of the paint and start fresh. Also think about how old the paint is and where it was stored. If it's frozen, it wont be of any use to you. If it's older than a couple of years, it may have gone bad.How to mix different paint colors?
If you want to mess around go ahead but listen to paintgirl

You just can't dump old paint any more, it needs to be treated as a hazardous chemical.

Check with your council or garbage disposal company
The best way is just to play with them. Use a spoon and take out equal amounts and then mix them. Since the colors won't be ';pure colors';, a color chart won't be much good to you. Just Experiment!! And as mentioned, oil and latex won't mix. And as for the sheen, if flat and gloss together=eggshell or satin. have some fun!
Not recomended, you will never be able to duplicate it again. Even with an electronic color eye, it wont be exact.
