i want to create a spongebob bedroom for my 2 yr old. he has the bed collection now i want to paint his bedroom. What colors do you suggest ? i know blues but give me names . give me some ideas how you would create it or show me pics of anyone that has a room like that... thanksWhat paint colors do i need to create a spongebob bedroom?
Well, a Spongebob room would be an ocean blue. NICkELODEON HAS ITS OWN PAINT LINE AND I AM SURE YOU COULD FIND SPONGEBOB COLORS THERE. I have also seen spongebob rooms that have green algea and starfish (also with other sea things, one someone even made the pineapple house) on the wall. You would either need to be artisitc or know/pay somebody to do something like that. There are also Spongebob ';wallpapers'; to put around the top of the walls (The stuff thats like 6 inches high and goes around the top of the room, sorry but I cant think of the name right now). go with the colors of the bed collection - you can always add different greens as seaweed on the walls - I'd add different colored fish, and coral reefs too.

Check out some sites on decorating a child's bedroom with a underwater theme - there are lots out there.

The water has all colors of living inhabitants - and you can make any of them any colors, stripes, eyes etc. any color you want. I think the iridescent colors would be great -

I am assuming you are doing some kind of wall mural -

easy basic shapes - and you certainly don't have to be artistic for sea weed and fish - look at coloring books for basic underwater life - perfect for tracing if you don't think you can free hand draw or paint - use a water base acrylic paint - from the craft stores - have fun - it's for a child's room not a museum.

Have you thought about foam board - that would give a great dimension - the seaweed or shells, or fish - also you could hang green celloplhane strips from a light - so it looked like seaweed too.

It's a great theme - good luck - and it should carry him through for the next 5-6 years, until his next favorite character comes along.
I found this for you , you can also make or buy yellow sheers for the bedroom and make a valance or side panels with a sponge bob fabric
