Paint colors?

i am having a hard time choosing paint colors and i need to get started on house, i have been to lowes about 100 times getting swatches and i am so confused? Does anyone have any swatch names that are nice?Paint colors?
ok so what is the confussion... r u trying to do the whole house at once? b/c that can become overwhelming. Start w/ ONE room... Kitchen.... Living Rm..Those r usually rooms u will b in the most other than bedrm... so lets start w/ the kitchen.

What r u'r likes? What r u'r cabinet colors? What kind of dish towels do u have? Do u like any of the colors in the dish towels? Do u have any floor rugs? If so, do u like any of the color(s) n the rug. Pick out a color. U said u have several swatches? Find that color or color swatches that u have picked up. Put either 1 or 2 of the colors on the wall.. LEAVE them there... look at them thruout the day %26amp; nt. IF u don't like them then go on to anthr color... or try a diff. wall. OR ONLY that color..

u can also ck out http://www.sherwinwilliams.com CLICK on COLOR VISUALIZER... then u can pick a kitchen pix %26amp; play w/ the colors... ONLY DO THE KITCHEN... sTEP away from doing anything else! ONLY THE KITCHEN!! THEN.. go on to the LR or DR... K?

it's easy 2 get confussed when u try to do everything. Pick out dish towels/seat covers/rugs that u like... then go from that w/ u'r colors.

B creative %26amp; have fun~Paint colors?
i've been in your shoes!!!

you can take anything to a paint store and they'll match that color for you. i've taken pillows, other painted objects, etc...

its not as overwhelming and you KNOW what the color is by seeing it on something you like already.

don't stress it - have fun!
Names are irrelevant. One company will call a certain color one name and another company will call the color by another name and the painter will call it off white.

So what you need to do is find a color combination you like either thru magazines or looking in other peoples homes. You know you want the kitchen to be flourescent orange and the bathroom lime green (Yes?? No??) There is your start. You know what you don't want. Most often it will match or compliment the appliances or the flooring or the planned drapes or counters or tiles.

Everyone has their own taste and favorites, when it comes to colors.
