What paint colors are good for my living room??

I have white/light tan couch and a white chair currently have a wood entertainment center but will be buying a glass/black one. Any suggestions??What paint colors are good for my living room??
I am an interior designer so I hope this helps. Well there are many different colors that you can use. If you want a warm modern color I would go with a nice red color. It will help the bring out the whites in your room and give it a nice modern look. If would would like more of a modern cool look I would go with a soft green color. Not a lime green or a forest green. Just a soft light green. This will help bring out the glass and the whites also, but it wil make your room look larger and give it a clean look and feel.

enjoy! What paint colors are good for my living room??
With the neutral colors of your furniture your options are wide open.

Do you want your furniture to pop. Than I would go with a dark color that is your favorite color. If you like lighter colors go with your favorite color lighter. Be Bold.

Thanks BBB
An neutral color but something that has some color.
Here try this. My friend is a decorator and she has clients look through magazines to find the sorts of things they like and go from there. It helps you visualize your ideas. Luck from Brian%26amp;Stimpy....
try like an egg shell color or maybe a light beige color might work too or just white
stay with neutral colors.
A pretty shade of mint green; a light golden-honey shade; a pretty shade of tan. Check out Home Depo -

while black and glass is nice keep in mind it is hard to keep clean. i have one. if your really going to buy the black and glass one i would suggest to put your wall color a little darker the your couch and then use a accent color around the room. a burgundy or some more black, ex; black shelves with burgundy flowers etc etc etc
How about a terra cotta ish color.
I would go with something warm like deep red or red-orange, as long as it's not too bright. Go to a paint store and bring home some swatches. You can even get a tiny jar of paint to try on your wall. Good luck!
To add some color, use a off red color. I also like the thought of using a medium-light shade of blue, but hey thats just me. For more help go to sherwinwilliams.com and use the paint visualizer, or ask a professional interior designer.
Well, your stuff seems to all be pretty neutral in color so basically, any color will fit. However, to have complete color harmony in any home, you need to have 3 colors: 1 dominant (the walls), one medium (the trim and moldings) and one accessory (the decorative objects, furniture, etc). White is not considered a color in painting and decorating but is rather the absence of color and black is also not considered a color but is rather the mixture of all colors. That is why black and white match with anything. It's important in any room to have black somewhere because this grounds all the colors together. You'll have that with your black glass unit.

As for color, I suggest you choose one item that will be in the room that you really like, like a painting, a cushion, a throw blanket, curtains, etc. Choose a color in that decorative item and use that color to go by. It will bring it all together.

Also, it's important to know that if the room is facing south and you put a warm color (such as red, orange, yellow), when the summer months come around, you just may find that the room is too warm because whether you believe it or not, warm colors will warm up the room. If the room is facing north and you put a cool color (blue, green, grey), you may find that in the winter months, the room is much to cold for your liking, for the same reasoning (cool colors cool a room).

There is a site you can go to to choose your colors before you even buy paint or paint. You can play around with all sorts of colors and rooms to get an idea of what the colors will look like in your room. You can even download your own photo of your room to see what it would look like with the colors you're considering. Oh... and it's free! I use this site all the time:

Enjoy your new look!
I usually prefer earth tone and neutral colors (especially if you eventually plan on selling the house), but I think a red wine color would compliment this well especially with the glass and black entertainment center you plan on purchasing. If you still had the wood entertainment center I would have picked a mossy green color.
im a bit of a budding interior designer.try to stay away from teracotta, its really old and over-used.white and black go with pretty much anything so ur lucky, but it really depends on the look u want to achieve and the size of the room. presuming its an average sized room i would suggest light colours for a light airy feel, but dont go to light, ur couch might blend in too well. for a warm tone i would maybe try a floral pattern wallpaper in a chocolate brown and turquise colour.

hope this helps!!!!
