What paint colors go with gray carpet and light olive green couches?

In a basement apartment so, I want it to brighten the place up a bit. What paint colors go with gray carpet and light olive green couches?
I would paint it a light gray bone white do to the fact that it is a basement apartment, as you need all the light you can get. You can brighten up the place with accessories. I would go with throw pillows on your couches like olive, rasberry red, and charcoal. The a lovely throw in a rasberry red on one arm of the couch. I would get a lovely oriental rug with a fringe with all your colors and place it on top of gray rug and between your two sofas, and then put a coffee table on it. Get a watercolor print with bright colors and hang it above sofa or sofas. Some accessories..end table, nice cranberry red ceramic lamp with a white shade. Also a few artificial plants to brighten up your area. Real ones may not get enough light. Plants are a cheap way to decorate. Good LuckWhat paint colors go with gray carpet and light olive green couches?
Something in the yellow or light orange tones would brighten up the place, and look great with the olive couches.
gold tones might work. You'll need some ';punch'; in your accessories. Why not consider cinnabar for pillows, ceramic pieces, lamp bases....... Mix in some off-white with it and it will look very classic...
olive green looks great with red (not bright red but deep red)accents and that will defintly lighten up your room. Dont worry about your rug so much cause you can always buy a throw rug that is colorful to pull some color to the floors. Are you planning on painting? Cause I would not paint all the walls red. Maybe paint most of the walls tan and the wall behind the couch red, then you can pull the red into throw pillows and wall hangings, along with the olive green and maybe a little soft orange and yellow. Use food as a guide, i know this sounds weird but get a bunch of food out of the fridge or cabinets in all different colors and shades and put them all next to each other and see which ones seem to blend well, yet stand out to your eyes!
Bonjour Beige by Benjamin Moore is a great color that will bring in your existing colors without overpowering them.
Try going to lowe's.com. They have a virtual painter you can use to try out hundreds of colors in sample rooms. Good hint is to paint 1 wall with a shade close to or the same as your carpet, %26amp; 1 wall with the color of your sofas. Then paint the other two walls til you find a color that goes. That way you'll be sure when you go to buy paint.
