Paint colors that go with unpainted woodwork?

I want to paint my room, but I can't paint my woodwork. It is fairly dark, and I am having a hard time finding a good wall color to go with it. Any suggestions?Paint colors that go with unpainted woodwork?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

Actually, most colors will go. You just have to think of the wood as a neutral. Like a pair of khaki trousers - you don't have to think about what color of shirt to wear with them b/c everything matches. I think a purple like ';raisin'; (# 7630) would look fab.

You can also take a photo of your room %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.Paint colors that go with unpainted woodwork?
Primary colors are good for a fun room, RED,AQUA,Yellow. If you want to sleep well and relax go with cool blues, greens and soft pinks.

Don't use the little swatches, go to the paint store and buy the sample cans/bottle and paint next to the wood to find the color you feel good about.

Have fun, its just paint and you can re-paint as many times as you want! Yeah!
Try pastels. It will help to lighten up the room. Or try white, which will give it a modern look.

You should be open for anything.

Remember that you will have window coverings, furniture, floor coverings, etc. to help your new look. Have fun.
what color are your main pieces(sofas, chairs, bedding ,tables etc.)try and pull a color from there to start.add a few accents from the rest of the palette to tie everything together.
I'd go with a light icy blue or a soft celery green.
I would go with earth tones. Greens or browns.
