Which paint colors are best for a room that is very warm during the day and cold at night?

dark colors absorb heat and light colors reflect it. i'd go with a dark color to see if it would help retain some heat from the day after the sun goes down.Which paint colors are best for a room that is very warm during the day and cold at night?
Color isn't going to make a change in the temperature of a room inside. Dark colors make rooms feel smaller and bright colors make them feel bigger. Choose a color you love and invest in curtains with thermal panels (available at Target, Walmart, etc.).Which paint colors are best for a room that is very warm during the day and cold at night?
I agree with MJ - the color of the room won't effect the temp. However, the right color choice could make the room *seem* warmer or cooler. I suggest something from the yellow family, like ';biltmore buff'; by sherwin williams. It's an earth tone so it will seem warm %26amp; inviting when it's cool, yet it's a fair shade so it won't absorb as much sunlight during the day when it's warm.

An area rug will help stabilize the temp in the room, as will blowing in some additional insulation in the walls.
